In 2022 we teamed up with Impact Fitness Somerville to run a move for your mental health workout. We received some great feedback from this event and it was great to do an event post covid.

Frankston Bombers FNC charity round
September 2016
We ran a charity football match at the Frankston Bombers Football ground in Baxter. There was half time sprint race, bbq, silent auction and we ran a presentation after the game.

Somerville Martial Arts Centre Super hero sparring night
October 2016
We held a Super Hero sparing night at SMAC boxing gym in Somerville.
Participants dressed up as super hero’s and took part in a sweaty sparing session.

Melbourne Muscle Strongman fundraiser
December 2016
We attended the Melbourne Muscle Strongman fundraiser. Had a really great day getting out to meet like minded people trying to make a difference. There was a great turn out and everyone enjoyed taking part in the Strong man activities.

We ran our first ever Its okay, not to be okay round. Somerville hosted the match, versing the Frankston Bombers. Medallions for most courageous player were given after each match (both netball and football) we ran a presentation at the half time of the seniors game.

Sweat for a cause Impact Fitness Somerville

We ran our first Sweat for a Cause night at Impact Fitness in Somerville. We provided a small presentation to the class before the trainers put them through their paces in an epic workout. The class was packed and the vibes were high.

It’s okay not to be okay round Big V Basketball Collingwood VS Westernport
May 2018
We hosted an Its okay, not to be okay basketball match with Collingwood All star Vs the Westernport Steelers which was held in Collingwood. Both teams wore personalised its okay t-shirts. Manny even got a custom pair of its okay basketball sneakers made that he wore on the night. We presented a speech before the game, ran a merch stall and were blown away to have the support of Collingwood Headspace come down and join us for the night.

July 2018
We held a 2nd its okay, not to be okay football round, with the Frankston Bombers Versing the Bonbeach Sharks. Personalised socks were purchased by players to wear on the day. We presented speeches at both clubrooms on the Thursday nights prior to the game. Medallions were given to the most courageous player after each game and the football goal umpires waved its okay not to be okay flags.

We held out first ever female footy Its okay, not to be okay round in Mornington.
We spoke at the club on Thursday night prior to the game. On gameday, all the girls wore our custom socks. There was fairy floss, hair braiding, a large raffle and merch stall.

R U Ok Day Presentation for Coca-Cola Amatil

We presented our story to Coca-Cola Amatil employees the presentation discussed the importance of mental health and tips for improving your mental health and looking out for your friends and family.

Mornington Peninsula Youth services Portsea leadership Camp
October 2018
We presented to year nine students from all over the Mornington Peninsula who were selected into the leadership camp. Our presentation covered the themes of grief and loss, mental health, self-care where to access mental health support. All attendees were presented with it’s okay not to be okay T-shirts.

It’s okay not to be okay round Frankston Bombers FNC VS Mt Eliza FNC
July 2019
We held our 3rd annual Its okay, not to be okay round, with the Frankston Bombers versing Mt Eliza. This round went over 2 days and included all football and netball games. Players wore blue arm bands and medallions were given for most courageous players after each game. We had Kate speak at the Mt Eliza club before the round and we delivered a presentation to the Frankston Bombers.

July 2019
We headed up to Merbein for another round of country football. We hosted an event over this weekend which included a presentation, medals, newspaper and radio interviews. The town welcomed us with open arms and the event was a huge success.

We held a merch stall for the OTLR cup held in Frankston. It was a big day of football for all ages and abilities. All players wore a custom football jumper with our logo across the back.

Baxter Fire Brigade

We delivered a presentation to the CFA volunteers sharing our story, the impacts of grief and loss and how to access support if you are concerned about your own or someone else’s mental health. We were hugely inspired by the volunteers and it was an incredible night to be a part of.

It’s okay not to be okay round Rye FNC VS Tyabb FNC
July 2021
We are back with our first event after covid lockdowns. We hosted the Its okay, not to be okay round of football with Rye versing Tyabb in Rye. Rye FNC designed commemorative football jumpers to honour club members that had tragically passed away. It was an amazing day of close and competitive matches. We presented to Rye on the Thursday night and calling in the help of Tomorrow Man who ran a workshop with the Tyabb football club.

SEMPHN Working together to prevent suicide in Frankston and Mornington Peninsula
November 2021
We were honoured to be invited to come and speak at the forum about our strategic plan, impact and work we are currently doing as a grass roots mental health charity in the community. We also participated in the forum and are now members of the Frankston and Mornington suicide prevention collaborative.

Mood 2 Move 81km Swim
January 2022
We met at the Frankston Beach to get around local hero Connor who swam 81km over 9 days to represent the lives lost in Australia to suicide. We were lucky enough that he chose us for his fundraising efforts. There was a team of about 25 swimmers who went out and swam the final 1km with him that afternoon. Phenomenal effort by Connor both physically and mentally, it was such a beautiful atmosphere on the beach once the swim was completed.

Move for Mental Health Impact Fitness
March 2022
We hosted a Move for Mental Health training and mindfulness workshop at Impact Fitness in Somerville. Over 80 participants took part on the night, we received some really great feedback and were so impressed by everyone’s intensity and grit during the workout.

Move for you Mind The Box in Chelsea
April 2022
We went out to The Box in Chelsea and hosted a Move for you Mind event with both gym member and member of the public who wanted to be involved. We ran a presentation before the class and ended it with a breathing and mindfulness session.

It’s okay not to be okay round Tooradin – Dalmore FNC VS Phillip island
Tooradin-Dalmore FNC hosted Phillip Island with players and club members proudly wearing our merchandise. Our it’s okay not to be okay logo was placed on the score board after every goal scored. We provided grief packs to the club after the tragic loss of one of their players.
