Dear body,
Iβm sorry for all the times Iβve physically hurt you, scarred you, deprived you, punished you, pushed you to breaking point, spoke horribly about you, put you down, was embarrassed by you and criticised you. It is a day by day effort and choice, to learn to love you and treat you with respect.
Sharing aspects of you that I once despised with the world and making a choice to focus on getting healthy, body AND mind, rather than getting thin.
Speaking out and sharing my truth has been by far, the most therapeutic way for me to accept and embrace my body.
And yes, some days I wake up feeling disappointment, disgust or a lack of motivation, and thatβs okay, and thatβs normal.
I have battled depression, eating disorders, addiction, and still deal with anxiety everyday and THAT IS OKAY ! I have my supports and found my healthy coping strategies and Iβm so grateful for that.
Iβm thankful for @itsokaynottobeokay for reaching out and asking me to show off some of their awesome new crops and get their support for all things body positive. Can we also take a moment to appreciate that βunbuttoned freeing feelingβ ππΌ
