Our Mission

It’s Okay not to be Okay’s mission is to advocate and create change in mental health, grief and suicide prevention.

About Us

It’s Okay not to be Okay was started in 2016 by us three grieving sisters who lost our brother Ben to suicide. It’s Okay not to be Okay is a registered charity that’s mission is to advocate and create change in mental health, grief and suicide prevention.

We do this by running community events and providing gift packs for those bereaved by suicide, running social media campaigns through all platforms that increase mental health literacy and raising awareness about the support available.

Testimonials

“In admiration of the work It’s Okay Not To Be Okay does on a daily basis. As someone working in this space, I’m so passionate about spreading awareness about mental health and these guys do it so so well. I often see people in my community telling their merch me spreading their message. You guys are the bees knees, thank you for what you do”

“One of the most important mental wellness awareness organisations in Victoria. I proudly wear their merch which generates many important conversations in community, often with random strangers. Their school based programs also have positive and long lasting impact on students, with messages that reinforce that it has never been more important to know - it’s ok not to be ok”
